PREFACE

I feel certain to have understood, from the very beginning of my conscious life, that my existence functions within a circle of energy, where what I give will be what I receive. Within this circle, there is a sensitive fragility that recognizes, from the beginning to the end, the intention and direction of this reciprocal movement. To maintain balance within it, respect is essential. If nature has allowed me to recognize this energy cycle, Mexican-Ecuadorian culture has also transmitted to me ancestral knowledge, practices, and values that go in this same harmonic direction.
