"Portal chacanoso" is a sculpture shaped like a portal through which, upon passing through it, one can observe life by looking at the ceiling of the structure. It questions cellular communication through electrical waves.

During its production, at different stages, I separated avocado seeds into four boxes with water, depending on their vital state, whether they were young (clean) or old (rotting). After each observation period and re-separation of the groups, I realized that all avocado seeds were trying to reach the same vital level. The fresher and cleaner ones would rot faster, and those that were already rotting would start to regenerate. It was as if they were communicating with each other and exchanging energy to establish a level of balance among them all.
