An invitation to tune into nature awaits you with "Biome." This project offers a communication experience generated through technology, plants, and human consciousness. Conceived in a creative lab by visual artists, musicians, and gardeners, this biologically rich environment, both chaotic and calming, invites you to an intimate experience. An original listening device invites you to enter into a relationship of exchange, transmission, and absorption between this living garden and your own eardrums.
At its center lies a knot, representing the connections that call us to create communication and exchange information. It's like an earthly heart, an orgonite that absorbs and emits ions, pulsating and reacting within the electromagnetic fields of your environment to seek ionization balance.
By placing the main link on your forehead, you'll benefit the plants around you. Do you hear sound? That's your bones vibrating! Thus, the plants receive a sonic frequency which, according to some scientific research, can activate or inhibit the vitality of plant proteins and amplify their growth. Could this be why gardeners talk to their plants?
This echoes the first form of listening we experience in the womb, where through waves transmitted by the amniotic fluid, bone conduction in our bodies allows us to create our first terrestrial sound records. We seek to return to our origins to allow our attention to recreate communication between all existing forms of life.
Would you like to exchange knowledge with our plant ancestors?
This installation is a collaboration with digital artists, AADN, and the media library of Rillieux-la-Pape.
